    Hey there @bLaind ,

You can access it by Internet Explorer 11. I am currently using it for that purpose.
    Cheers,

My question is not why Firefox is not supported, but why isn't android platform supported? It will rock the google store, the specs aren't even a prob for the next gen Phones/tablets. And anybody can plug in a mouse too.. Oh well i am just sayin..

Sunlight, you've missed bLaind's point. He is on Windows XP Service Pack 3, which does not support IE 11. The highest IE that XP SP3 supports is 9, kinda.

I use XP SP3 Virtual Machines at work all the time and I only allow IE 8 due to stability.

So the question I have for you, Sunlight, on behalf of bLaind, is this:
Will DSO run in IE 8 or IE 9?
    I'm thinking not.

    Hey there heroes,

So sorry for the late answer. Been busy last days :p

In a general answer, I only can say what's official: Firefox changes and DSO Web Version. At the moment, only IE11 is supported and that's the only way to keep playing DSO via browser. We don't know if it will be supported in the future, because it does not depend on us, but on Java (java plugin). For that reason, Bigpoint must adapt their own way according to big browser companies, so we are limited on that field.

We have no information about other browsers that may work actually - IE11 works, apparently, for the most of the players.

Maybe you should update your OS, but you surely know what's the most suitable for you. Just a suggestion.

So, as a final answer, we all must deal with this new - and so far permanent - situation. I would like to recall you all that in the past it was announced by our former CMs that Bigpoint would like to be focused on a client version, so that's the opportunity. Drakensang could not develop some features/better quality features in a online version, but with downloadable version those opportunities can increase a lot. Of course, there are people who are very angry with this new situation, particularly those ones who don't like to play with client. For those ones, I am afraid, but the unique solution now is IE11 so far as we know.

I hope this message has been clear now ;)
    Cheers,

We already know that's [EDIT], because the game worked on FF before and after the update... Until the DSO team decided to disable the game for FF and blamed it on Mozilla.
The solid proof is that you could still play on the TS with FF... until a few days ago when they decided to disable that one too.
It's better if you don't answer at all rather than throw that same "official" [EDIT] reason into our faces:

    Hey there @bLaind ,

So, if you already know, why do you insist on the same topic? We've already reported it so many times, but there are solutions for that!
There are more options to play on test server - you can play it even on thin client or using IE11. Now, if you don't want to, that's not our problem at all.

I will always do my job here in a proper way - the best that I can actually. If you are not convinced with any of my explanations, that are the ones that we have, so, please, write a ticket to the support.

And I will keep answering to every thread in a proper way, because I am here to help you so much as possible, in a respectful way, that was not mutual, as your answer above evidences. That's why we edited your thread and applied a ban

Let's keep focused on the topic now. If you have anything NEW to add, go ahead. We are reading as usual ;)
    Cheers,

    It didn't work out?
Cool ... there is one more solution.
Trick the game ... let it think you are using IE 11 ... but in fact you would be using Firefox.
You can make the game think you are using IE 11 ... or any other browser ... or in fact you can make it think you are even Mac user or not using PC at all but rather a phone ;)

Bottom line here is that this is not a FF problem or even a DSO/BP/Youzou problem. It is an industry wide problem. Two years ago the first rumblings came out of Google that it would be moving in the direction of dropping npapi support for Chrome. Did anyone in the web based game (formerly called browser games) industry do anything? No.

Right now we can count on Bill Gate's legacy of loving monopolies to keep IE 11 working... for a while. Also there are other band-aids and workarounds to use. These are all temporary.
This is the solution that a lot of the industry is focused on. It is one but in my mind not the best. When all this started, again 2 years ago, the best solution put forward was porting these games to HTML 5. If this had been done we would still have 'browser' games. The excuse given at the time by the majority of web based game publishers was this word take too long (and the unsaid part; cost money.) The 'time' excuse has come and gone. There has been plenty of time to do this.

There are very big challenges for DSO ahead. While many are design functions of gameplay the biggest in my mind is keeping the game in an accessible and user friendly platform.

    Luck be with ye,
    Mikey,

I've never played this game in a browser. I've always used the Client from day one. I've got a 1920x1200 monitor and I play full screen. Only come to window when I'm working here in the forum.

So far, every game I've tried in a browser I've not liked. Just my humble opinion.

P.S. I also do not do email in a browser. That is what Outlook / Thunderbird / Express / etc. are for.

    Edit @ 4/13/2017 @ 10:34pm ================================
Mine has never frozen when I use F10.

Well, now. *Popeye voice* This es embaresking. **

Appearently I've never taken an F10 screen shot in window mode because the same thing (freeze) just happened to me. Appearently I've always taken F10 screen shots in full screen mode and in window mode I've only used lightshot.

I would like to use the client if it won't freeze when I take a screen shot by pressing F10 in window mode.

I don't know whether WebGL is good or not for developing DSO in browser. Next time we don't have chance to hear DSO winning the best browser game of the year.

    Thanks and good luck.
