Question on Solid Cores

I was wondering if there is a faster way to obtain these cores? As they are not guaranteed drops from the pw bosses like other elemental cores. Honestly i have done alot of boss kills and i seem to have only 37 Solid Cores in my inventory.

Yet i read threads of how ppl are transferring stats to items etc etc. So i'm wondering if i am missing something? Is there a good way to farm Solid Cores, or even better, an NPC to buy them from?

 

Fastest way to farm these solo is to do lvl 1 bosses via portal or full map.They are not guaranteed to drop every time u kill the boss.You cant buy the solid cores/blazing/dark/poison/frost/shock cores.Only place where u get these is from parallel world bosses.

 

Elemental core drop more than solid core.
If I'm not mistaken Mortis only drop solid core.

I don't like the way Mortis heal full HP when I die. Need to wait till strong enough to be able farm him efficiently.

Anyway I farm Grimmag full run about 130-140 times. Resulting 260+ Blazing cores & 150+ Solid cores. And each run gave me about 220-380 Matery fragment.

 

Sadly in the main Windows it says that he can drop only solid cores but IN ANY MOD it drops ALSO soul cores (and it seems he drops SOUL cores more frequently than the solid ones).
I've farmed 300+ solids farming Q1 and Q5 which were the maps I was farming to get the blazing and dark cores I needed to craft the Q7 set so, while farming the cores needed for the core set of my build I got enought cores for the transfer on my Chest (Q1 Chest).

Honestly I find farming cores in mod 1 better than the other mods because you get only 1 more core per incresed difficult (4 in mod 2, 5 in mod 3 and 6 IRC in mod 4).
Since the time I need to farm higher mods increases drastically (most of all for the time it takes to find a party to farm em), I prefer to solo mod 1 but other ppl with decent guilds/friends to support him can try higher mod with probably better results than mines.

Is there anywhere where it is explained exactly what is the procedure for using the cores? must one take and unique item put it in the worlk bench, then a legendary item ? and the cores? but what cores is right?
