    Hey,
I leave your message by the translator translate but I can unfortunately not make chocolate from.
It's just not read. Says not enough!?

  3. Yes. I had trouble making chocolate from my message too. Even before running it through a (mis-)translator.

    hi guys,
first of all i want to make sure that you know is it not the english support who cut the dutch community. pls people remember that.
They should not be "under fire" here.
I think what dutch players want is help in their own language.
That is what leads me to this
It is the truth that we had the opportunity to help in the English team. But there was never said that we could help the players in Dutch. i got a mail that i should not do that!
So if you have something that can clear this up Allogeneous. You know how to find me ;)
for the rest i would like that the dutch community can have they say here if they are not happy about the situation. The english players do this too so why not the Dutch :D

It has some bright sides as well; you can improve your English skills by playing :D

    And this...
That's exactly my thought. It'd be a dream for those players to have some kind of forum section in their own language where they could receive some help. Unfortunately, I don't think that's gonna happen :D Even if there are volunteers (just like the forum mods are volunteers), it'd probably not be possible. Simply because this is the English forum, heck yeah... rules are rules.

It's still a great idea, a forum section dedicated to the community speaking 1 certain language, but it'd simply be a pain in the ... to monitorize them all.

I could translate these messages for people like Sprokkel who clearly "can't make chocolate from it" :)p), but it would probably not be allowed anyway.

Hi Dylannn and Femme, good to see u here in the English forum. :)

I have mixed feelings about the end of the Dutch speaking forum. It is indeed a good thing to (learn to) write in English, on the other hand i personally found the Dutch forum a nice place te be.

But i can understand that it is always easier to speak and write in ur own language and that for some players it is not so easy to understand what is said on the chat and what is written here in this forum.

Sometimes i wonder what has happened to all the regular posters from the Dutch forum, they seem to be vaporized.

  8. Not quite..... Take a look at this section. The precedent was set July 2015. As far as I am concerned there is, and always was, room for discussion/negotiation.

Are you talking about the Dutch section there? If you are, then I must say that most of these threads have been closed some time ago (and I'm sure you're aware of that...). I guess those were closed due to the same problems concerning Dutch forum & Dutch support.

However... perhaps it could be an idea to open those up again? Players could try to help each other a bit in their native language, it'd be pretty nice. I'm sure there are a few people that would want to help, but I understand the mixed feelings that you probably have about that; impossible to watch over those threads then, since the mods in here are mostly skilled in English.

Anyway it's just an idea of course... nothing special. :)

I appreciate your input towards this thread, because this seems to be a problem anyway. And I'm pretty sure that there are other people from other countries that are having the same issues... lack of English basic skills. In a perfect world, we could all fix that problem together... but we all know we're living in a world that is far from perfect :D

By the way, if I misunderstood your post, just let me know.

    Kind regards and thanks again.

i will not reply . i know you both.
    here for Allogeneous
im still getting the impression that you feel attacked. and if you read back you know it is not.
those are people who dont find the way in English . and they complain here . nobody of our community is attacking the english Team.
they just want a proper help when they have troubles.

  11. My point was: this forum is not exclusively for English-language players, and hasn't been since July 2015. I am aware that the "Meet the CM" threads for most of the other languages was discontinued. Mostly because it put too much pressure on our already over-worked CMs. It could have worked beautifully if the responsibilities had been delegated. And, for languages which do not have their own forums, I don't see why a section of this forum couldn't be set aside for them so that players can communicate in the language they feel most comfortable conversing in. But I don't get to make these decisions.

A very small portion of the misinformed Dutch community did blame the English team for their own forum + support demise - both here in the English forum, and in English support and elsewhere. But this is not something which fazes our team. Again, it was only a couple of unthinking members of the wider DSO Dutch community.

First of all, it has never been my intention to take under fire here English-speaking moderators.
    This is a misconception!
And if it is understood as such, then this is probably translated a misconception because of the lack of translation that my translator.
I would just speaking people understand our Dutch, and we know that these difficulties we are forced by the fact that the Dutch Forum is removed.
Situated in the quiet hope that we are taken seriously in this current problem and that there may still get something done.

    English speaking people here who think to suggest that we must learn necessarily better English I lay like the following example;
Imagine that there would only remain a Russian Forum. How fun would you still find anything to back and forth should continue to translate here some to understand?
And think at the same time then how much time you would spend to translate instead of the DSO game you can play,
that is what this topic is about!
    With best regards,

Most people are able to speak English because we hear it all the time on the television. Besides we also get english lessions at school. You are saying that you aren't able to understand the English language but i highly doubt that. Some players in this thread even act like they aren't able to speak and write English, while ingame they seem to do just fine communicating with others. Dont get me wrong i'm Dutch as well but i dont see the use of the dutch forum anyway the news was always delayed anyway.

Hmm idk about that, i always thought 9/10 times the Dutch forum was faster with the news.

Anyway, I understand some people are having trouble translating to English. I wasn't happy with it either but my English is OK i think, it is just a lot easier to explain my game problems in Dutch. It would be nice if we could get a thread where we could just help eachother in Dutch, or help them translate.

Well if anybody has a question or needs help translating feel free to contact me in game and I can try to help, my char name is Mιchelle (greek i) server Heredur.

    Hey there heroes,

We clearly understand your position, but it has to be with a production decision; moderation team did not take any decision about that. It is simply a decision that was taken and we must follow.

My colleagues wrote exactly what's happened: it's a question of numbers. There are small communities that can easily be "moved" to other communities' forum - bigger communities does make sense to have their own forum / support ;)

Plus, it is important to say that the most of northern Europe citizens, like DA or NL communities, understands perfectly English. That was also one of the main reasons.

Rest sure that your negative feeling was informed to the team in the proper time.

About news time, it has nothing to do as being part of this team, but I am pretty sure that EN Team publishes the news in the right time. You are informed in time of everything. We do try to keep you updated on everything as fast as we can, but you must also understand that we are volunteers and, for that reason, we have our own task, but I can say in 90% of the time, news are published within an hour in our forum.

About translation, simply because Bigpoint decided to remove those languages, EN Team is not responsible to produce any kind of translation, nor other teams.

    Cheers,
