  1. I can clarify those points a little for you:
    1) This topic has been raised before, and we have been given assurance that DSO a/cs will not be deleted due to inactivity. However, if an a/c lies dormant for an extended period (generally 1+ years), they will sometimes be automatically blocked. When a user attempts to access the a/c, they get an Error 99. Rest assured that the a/c and all the data is still there. Admins can still view the a/c details via the Admin Control Panel, and it is a simple matter for admins to have the a/c reactivated.
    2) There are multiple valid, paranoid and... well... "naughty" reasons for accessing a DSO a/c via a VPN. The main one Big Point is concerned about is users accessing their a/c via a VPN to pretend that they live in a country where andermant and packages are offered relatively cheaply. My own opinion is that using a VPN for general a/c access should not be an issue or cause an issue. But it must not be used when purchasing andermants/packages.
    3) Ignored :D

Edit to add: @Armando There will be an official announcement re. the replacement CM very soon. We are not alone....

Maybe i'm against the flow, but ...
let's draw up a little summary of "Haruki Era" as CM activity, from a particular perspective. My perspective, you can agree or not of course :)

So ... if main role of CM were really to act as a link between BigPoint side and customer side, and to keep up some kind of sharing informations between the two sides, well,
i consider CM Haruki era almost unidirectional, from BP side to customer side.

Too much superimposed changes from BP, despite negative feedbacks.
Too few suggestion from players converted into something tangible.
So, from my perspective the communication from the players to BP didn't work at all, and this seems a total failure of the CM role. Pay attention, seems. I do not pretend to know what level of effort is done by CM, i'm talking about perception from customers.

So, anyway whishing the best to Haruki, but personally i hope that the opportunity to change the CM can give us a good chance to test if the power of influence of a different actor can lead to slightly different result and feedbacks.

Because, i hope you know, almost every feedback on events, version, "improvement" i can read is something totally ... uhm ... what can i say ... ok, found:

Well, there has been the community feature survey in the end of March. It contained many of the proposals I listed here as well, and since then, 10 of those 30 suggestions have been implemented. Given the GENERAL customer-foc(k)us attitude of BP, that is already quite something...
Yet, I do think it would be about time to repeat that feature survey, to see what's most urgent NOW.

@Allogeneous : Thanks for the update.

It is easy to remember the bad and harder to remember the good. There are a few things that Haruki and Greg started (these threads for example). I would have liked to see the non-English/Spanish ones continue on this forum but if they didn't have time, they didn't have time.

The Wiki is now on the main page. I believe Haruki had something to do with it if I correctly read a post a while back by Trakilaki.

As Armando pointed out, several things that the players have been asking for have been implemented. Many of the other requests are on the list (so Haruki says) and are clearly being implemented (auto-loot pickup for example).

I am hoping that the new person is able to continue to advance the players' views and experiences, particularly as it relates to events. (The last several have really gone downhill, to the point where I just don't even try to do them.)

    ----
Best of luck to you, Haruki!

  5. Your claim is incorrect. I have been playing DSO since early 2012 and have been an admin since late 2012. CM Haruiki has been the most effective, approachable, diligent and hard working CM DSO has had to date. She actively seeks feedback from the community and has advocated tirelessly on our behalf. Of course Big Point will not acquiesce to every player request, and just as well it doesn't. But many improvements to the game, and amendments to policy/direction, have been implemented directly as a result of CM Haruiki using her position to back the community.

First I thought its about 1 person with 2 acccounts, but yeah, it does look confusing :)

They want to put so much there just in case, so they add ridiculous items. Not event saying they new whole T&C would be illegal in US, like the previous one. Lawyers probably went to the same school dev went to :)

    Upd:
The T&C document itself has nothing about 'boosting between users'. All of that is unprofessional unterpretation @bywiley_wiggins.

Moreover, neither 'boosting' or 'pushing' is a legal term, so it should be well explain if used in a contract. The 'pushing' is mentioned in one of the sections below, however it is refering to section 1.2 for an explanation of thr term.

Legally, section 1.2 is a large piece that does not define the term. One of the subsections of it has 'ban on pushing' sentense in brackets. Even though most people would understood what that means, it isnt a proper term definition in a legal document. At least for countries with Common Law. In Civil Law the intention would be more important than wording, but they cannot enforce civil codex on american, for example.

So, in other words, you are safe to play with your friends, and they still have lots of work to do to clean that mess up :)

If so, they NEED to also limit the level of items one can wear to [player level +5]. Otherwise all those lowlevel twinks with their millions of GoP and lvl 40-50 items will dominate forever, and there is no way for newer players to catch up. Just not allowing any NEW twink monsters is not enough!

I didn't see your answer before I saw it just now. That's why today I wrote to support in my country regarding this topic and teh answer was surprisingly different. I am gonna quote them " Yes will be like this.If you account is inactive in a period of 4 weeks will be deleted. We will do this because our system is overloaded with inactive accounts" I can put and a screen if needed. Anyway the difference in the statements makes me even more confused.....

CM Haruki Community Team Team Drakensang Online

    Hey there community of awesomeness,

Quick message here before I hit the official seas with a more "corporate" message (chuckles). ;)

I would like to reiterate one thing: there has been a proper hand-over and I am confident the new CM is gonna kick ass once he gets into track. Just because you cannot see it, it does not mean that a proper training has not been happening. He'll introduce himself when the time comes (there is paperwork business to solve...) but before that happens he has already access to our archives of awesomeness. So I am not concerned about the transition period - you'll be fine. Show a little bit of patience if you do not see an official CM tag here on the boards for a while. He'll surely come and say hello when he's ready. And he will.

There have been good things. There have been bad things. What I take with me is all the lessons learnt, all the things accomplished. A year and a half in this game has certainly filled a number of crates inside my memory (ok, I was gonna make a pun about inventory space but I won't go that way, ooooh, no). Most of the times, it has been really fun.

I know there are big things coming down the pipeline for Drakensang Online in the future and it's my wish that you guys enjoy them all. It's somehow a pity that I won't be here to see them implemented in the game though! :p

Take care, heroes, and see you around in the vast Internet!!

    Kind regards,
    CMHaruki

PS: For those of you who thought that I've not stood up for this community enough, I leave you with this gif.
For the rest, I gift you this one, representing pretty much a universal CM day.

    It was Haruki's idea.
She asked if we are OK and asked for permission ... DSO Wiki to be featured on DSO's Home Page with our logo and link to our Home Page.
She did a mock-up http://i.imgur.com/cRbqPEr.png and she already asked DSO's Web Team (they informed her it is completely possible).
She offered her help so I can make Wiki contents faster and reliable (pimping my TS account with: andermant, gold, draken ... etc.).
She also had a very nice idea of creating one Special DSO Wiki account at TS ... where we would get all the new items (timed version) so I don't have to play all classes all day long just to obtain partial info with the items.
Unfortunately ... no matter how hard she was trying ... she didn't get permission from the upper management ... until this day.

I am sorry but you are wrong.
I have been communicating with both Greg and Haruki ... and they were both very pro-player's oriented. Especially Haruki ... because she was ex community contributor in the other games before DSO.
But they were just a CMs ... not even the devs have control over the game.
Haruki has personality and big "cojones". No wonder she left.

    Remember this?
Everything he said is implemented today.

Yeah, I would elaborate but I won't because you know (or should know what) I mean. Regardless of an active subscription or not, the game SOMEHOW (not implying anything, but stating a fact) differentiates those who paid at least once from those who haven't. It's in the script. :) And I won't elaborate since I won't be playing anymore after a fit of dictatorship by Allogenous (deleting a whole thread of feedback without reason or explanation and then banning me for repeatedly asking the question WHY). I see you're leaving too, so buh-bye to both of us.

    Cheers!

  15. Yeah, I get ya, buddy. I like totally hate it too when dictator admins get all dictatory and do their job by deleting off-topic posts about lag in a release feedback thread after said dictator admin warned peeps not to post off-topic guff or it'd be deleted. And then having the nerve to delete inflammatory threads aimed at pointing out what a good-for-nothing dictator he is! Blardy dictators! Who does he think he is, an admin or something?

What really grinds my gears though is when you try posting a complaint about their dictatorial attitude in a flounce post and they reply with a sarcastic post and an amusing image. Like this...

Indeed.PvP is pretty messed up at lvl 50 and even worse at lower levels because of this.Players who freeze rank for years pushing new players away from the game because a limit to max item lvl was not placed.

Can somebody from bigpoint please explain the below statement as it is very confusing and there is a lot of supposition and guess work going on by players and random rumours.
Does it mean everyone in your game must now get experience ? So finally an end to the twinks ?
Or does it mean people from the same address that use the same internet provider can know longer play together ? eg husband and wife, partners, parents and children, or same young family members
This needs to be clarified because your game is not travelling so well as it is especially for level 50's to go through the same maps over and over is not exactly what I call fun

    Ban on pushing and boosting
    • The new GTC explicitly state that pushing and boosting is prohibited not only between accounts of the same users, but also between accounts of different users. This is stipulated in the interests of fairness and game enjoyment for all.

I would also like to know what exactly you understand by "pushing and boosting", specifically regarding grouping in PvE, and PvP.

    - Is it ok to form lowlevel groups with more than 5 levels difference, where the lower levels are actually strong enough to play the higher level maps? (e.g. in the parallel world)
    - Is it ok, as a lvl 50 char, to take along e.g. a lvl 40 field marshal that is actually strong enough to play level 50 maps?
    - Is it ok, as a highlevel char, to help lower levels fulfill their quests e.g. defense tasks or defeating boss monsters?
    - Is it ok to let an opponent win a PvP duel, if you only need participation in arena fights for your daily?

All of these can currently be observed as common practices ingame. If any of them would be interpreted as "pushing and boosting", you should be very specific about this.
