    Hi all,
I would like some feedback on my SW,
    I have about 1100-1600 damage
about 5.5k HP, and about 54% armor and about 23% critical hit...
I am currently using draganache set and old witch chaser set, with the gnob weapon with maximum stats, being a free player i dont have many gems mainly the one after polished...
What is the current consensus which is the best set for a SW.... somehow i dont think my combination is great as i get destroyed in PVP and them mini events and bullet bridges in xmas event

    Hi.
4/5 Darkness is the best offensive option right now, both 1- and 2-handed. Should pair well with Dmg torso in case of green essences. That is PVE oriented option.
Dragan with the crit ring from Dragonache would be the best balanced build, some people do Dragan + 3/5 Darkness plus that dragonache ring.

You will need a decent ball, and even then I think you would be destroyed in pvp.

For 5v5 and 6v6, I would stay on offensive side, for others - defensive.

    Gnob weapon is junk.

But I wouldnt pvp at all as a mage after r155. Gl

    Whats your level btw?

    i am lvl 50....
still trying to find a good set of boots with decent travel speed and a ball, i am not the lucky one when it comes to good stats. I went with the gnob weapon because crafting wands sent me broke, as soon as i find a decent set of boots i can not use the tear holder and amulet from draganache set.

I would forget about pvp for the time being. Not only because you are mage, and pvp is completely broken, but also because you are not there yet. I would focus on farming.

Farming doesn't require tons of travel speed, so you can break your dragonache, keep one ring, get dragan, get some 2handed with 1 crit line, and farm. Very good items drop at fatal, but the 2nd level should be good too, whichever you can handle fast enough.

You would replace your left side items pretty soon, if you do that everyday. Not a lot of gems drop there, but good glyphs. Even if you are solo, you have your infinite guardian.

3 months of PW will make you much (reasonably) better, and potentially ready for pvp 5v5 hell.

You still go kill or die approach, because there are so many noobs out there following that, so you have no other options. They think 'we are 1 hit dead anyway, so better go full offense'. You would intentially accept you are going to die a lot, but you would be dealing decent dmg points as well. Sorry, but that is today's arena.

And I would completely forget about 3v3 and 1v1. You cannot beat ranger. His base HP is higher, HP on the items is higher, he is getting both bonuses from dragan set in longbow setup, and will be dealing massive dmg thanks to one skill in such a defensive setup. You would need to go book or 2h to compete in burst damage, what will make you 1 hit dead.

So my opinion is, farming is the best option for you. Set some farming goals, either glyph or items, and work toward those goals.

And on dragonache, again, unless you are going for defense (but really, you are 1 hit anyway), there is no other reason using it. Average lvl 50 items beat it.

    ...
You know, I should make a remark here. I'm not F2P player. My noob tank is, and I enjoy it in PVE, but my mage is far from F2P since lvl30 or so. So whatever I say, might be irrelevant to your case and you better look for another advice out there. I'm sure there are plenty of mages of your 'level' that had similar questions in the past, and perhaps found some answers. Even though I'm completely certain about sets for instance, as I tested programmatically millions of combination of items, I was always looking at the end game, close to max stats, items with close to best gems. I only know for sure, at any level of play, PVP is completely broken so I would get sad about that.
