    Hello, Haruki

When we will be able to exchange server?

    Haruki,

I sincerely request one thing - please remove all of characters skills. If they are not supposed to work even against minibosses on New Moon normal map (now immune to all stun and debuff effects), then why do we need them at all? To show our strength against skeletons at Kingshill gates? Good joke...

Fights against mini-bosses were supposed to be a (mini)challenge - requiring us to use character skills. Now they are all... useless.
If the idea that a character can have and USE skills is so alien to the devs that they cannot tolerate it - I say, remove the skills altogeter!

    Hey there playful creatures,

with a coffee in hand CMHaruki comes to answer your questions and give comments when comments are due. Some of the previous things that remained from my previous post unaddressed were the following:
    • Keen, Roshan, Yachak and Sparks sets - are they going to be craftable later on and if so, until which Tier? The official statement is that the designers are not working on this at the moment and there are no immediate plans to release this soon. However, we should not rule this as a possibility in the future.
    • Preselection tabs I&II for the Honor and Wisdom tree skills - yes, this is coming eventually.
    • Fairy Wood and Silver Essences farm quantity differences - both events have different difficulty and loot experience and the quantities of Fairy Wood and Essences that you need are balanced to match these differences. They also keep other variants into mind: how often the player gets inside the map, how long does it take to progress in the overall event, etc. I delve a little bit more into the reworked monthly events later on so keep on reading.

    Hey there Ikarian,

well, welcome to the game then! Please find here some answers to your questions:
    • PvP quest special tab: oh, yes, this would be completely incredible and there is already a game design on the works for this. However, at the moment I cannot really tell you when this would arrive... Please bear with me for this and other rather ambiguous answers. I know they are pretty annoying but at this moment I cannot do otherwise.
    • Bar for consumables: we are releasing soon a switching feature that will allow you to stack different essences in a slot and then switch from one to the other without opening the inventory. We also want to give you guys a quick key binding for the Spirited Stones - no plans to make the same with the potions.
    • Issue with repeatable quests: at the moment I am afraid there are other pending issues that are requiring the attention of our team more than this but of course it makes sense to make repeatable quests more interesting. I will raise this question within the team and see if we can get some official statement here.

    Hey there Darwarren,

well, I see this working for the hard-core sector of veterans. I will pass this along to the team and see what they have to say. Remember that is Xmas season pretty much so an automatic answer (negative or positive) about this will not happen.

    Hey there Big Papa,

there are a number of basic quality of life improvements in the pipeline already: HUD lock, essence toggle, transmogrification or gear customization feature (God, the names...), keybinding for items, also the mouse pointer, and other ones that will continue to pop up. Now, I would give you the fact that they are arriving later than expected, that the majority of those have been in the community roadmap for months and they have been pushed away. Not very nice, I know.

They have been pushed away not only to give place to new features that we want for our Drakensang Online versions (Globa, Chinese and Korean) but also because of further balancing or urgent issues that have stolen the time the developers can assign to the addition of other commodities. I personally understand this frustration and I can vouch for my personal interest and drive to keep on bugging the team from the beginning of this new year so there is always space for both production features and community features.

    Hey there,

as the first message of this thread originally stated, we would rather prefer to keep this thread away from Customer Support inquiries since neither Greg or I belong in that way to the CS team. We are related but have different daily duties to carry on. Therefore I would ask you and your friend to keep your issues with those channels. In this case, I cannot delve in particular in our DB policies but I can tell you that due to memory reasons, there are segments of data that get deleted from some tools (namely, the one CS uses) and it may be impossible to gather those kind of data through those particular tools after a while. I know, it sucks a great deal but it is the bread and cheese of a lot of companies. Another field to definitely get better at.

The big majority of cases of items lost or deleted or smelted or something get successfully resolved though.

    Hello there mister,

hopefully after a number of other commodities have been included inside the game first - the ones that are still waiting in the waiting list with a very boring face. We will push for all those features with the brand new year.

    Hello there,

I used the word allegedly because at that particular moment you were communicating what I do believe it was your opinion. Plus I am not a good friend of Black or White statements - so please do not feel offended by it or my seeming skeptic attitude because it was not at all my intention. The reworked New Moon and Full Moon events are that, a rework, and we are completely aware that we left a great deal of interesting community ideas out of the box this time. This does not mean that we will not introduce further changes to the core mechanic of these two monthly events in the future... but truth is, that the time given to rework these events was not enough at the moment and a number of aspects was left untouched. We have already communicated the issue with the the claws not stacking - which is indeed a pain down there -, with the drop rates completely off the hook, and we are also listening to the feedback given for the different items as people start collecting them and analyzing them in relation with their other pieces of equipment. The question of heavy grinding is also something we can discuss and improve so we are also forwarding them your opinions on this matter.

As a normal rule, I do not pass any message to anyone that is called out of the blue "stupid baboon". Specially when that is the mildest form of adjective that you are using to convey a message you could have written in other terms. I can understand your frustration (amidst the nonsensical insults you tackle core, ongoing and essential issues of this game, I'd say, yes) and I would engage in comment about some of your points. However, I choose not to.

You either buy the thingies available in the shop or wait in the future for more thingies to buy.
The idea is to keep on nurturing the materi fragments commerce with other items but we do not have any official info to disclose just yet, sorry about that - another thing to bug the designers about!

No plans to change those values, no.

Ok, so this is actually much better. You should care if you are insulting because being insulting diminishes the power of your discourse and makes people look away, therefore not engaging you in what could be a very interesting conversation for both parts.

You are wrongfully assuming that people working in this game do not care and that is reducing the bugs, imbalances and ongoing issues to a rather simplistic view of things. Of course I cannot tell you for the personal motivations of each DSO employee to keep doing what they are doing in the studio - but I can totally vouch for the level of enthusiasm and knowledge of the people here, working day after day with this live game. Some features of it take too much time, some features go out rushed and required later on (or still do) of some tweaking... Yes, there are some mistakes (both light or less light ones) that make us self-conscious as a whole and that shows us where we need to improve. The need to improve is a daily constant and there is absolutely no point in negating that or coating it with whipped cream and smiley CMs and other colorful statements. We listen to you, we truly do, but it's also true that sometimes the scales tip towards a direction that you communally find not suitable, due to time or other external reasons - this is something I am aware of as a community manager

A new year arrives and there is still a lot to do - like, truly a lot. We have already raised awareness with the fact that we need to tackle the new chapters of Dracanian history ensuring first that the story we have written is a good one and is worth playing it. Meaning that we still need to resolve the ongoing issues and stabilize what we already have. It´s a rather complicated balance to achieve as a team and as a product and it´s highly annoying for everyone when we fail to keep that balance - but we are on it.

    Hey there, mister.

Depends on the weeks and depends on the months and I do not follow any counting. In general, and being perfectly honest with you, I personally play less than I should/would want... and this is another thing that remains in my to-do list for next year. I am a rather casual MMORPG player and I am not in the competitive side of life. The things I personally do not like about the game, and would like to see them addressed, are the episodes of grinding (either for seasonal events or just for leveling up when level quests are long gone), the inventory space you have by default, the fact that level 10 people can access PW now, the pushing back of smaller yet convenient features and probably the episodes of outside miscommunication that occur (on that one I look to my side, recognize the flaws and promise to reduce them).

    Hey there,

nah, no logic whatsoever. We thought that the costumes would last for 2 days (that was the original idea) but we did not know that if you send them in a bundle and activate one of them, the other one gets also activated. Seriously...

    Hey there,

the essence toggle is coming soon next year - we will push for that. And yes, the Auto Play message appears in the Stable server but it's not arriving to our version. These BrainMen...

Fixing exploits is always a disappointment...

I am positively sure I never indicated this was coming with release 159 specifically.
I wrote to the team yesterday to ask about an approximate ETA for that - but guess what, pre-Xmas season.

    ----

There are still other messages that I need to comment so please bear with me. Will do that tomorrow.
    See you around!

This is 99% of the problem. Dev's half *ss this game because they feel like they need to rush things without doing it right to begin with. 16 months of feedback for the moon events was simply ignored and for what? A regurgitated "hard" map that only frustrated players more than if it was never offered on the live servers in the first place.

Of course this is certainly not limited to just the moon events. Just look at the half *ssed CV system that every single player knows is beyond worthless, yet the dev's felt it was necessary to push good ideas like an ess slot to some future date just so they could rush something useless into the game.

Then there is the whole new frags currency. That simply had to be a bad joke, and yet once again it was rushed into the game with no purpose.

I could go on and on but this is nothing new, most of us are sick of seeing half *ssed ideas put out onto the live servers only to be told "we'll fix it at some point".

Here's an idea, how about using the test server to see if the ideas work and when the players report issues or state that the idea is worthless, that idea either gets fixed or shelved instead of just being pushed onto the live servers anyway .................. that is after all kind of the point of having a test server.

Hi Haruki I have a question what happened with "all healings effect ending during exhaustion" How about small challenge for u and all bp team why u don't try to win this walking pharmacy (dwarfs) in 1v1? Honestly this on u looks like a normal fight? So they only run make u like max 10k DMG and on end ofc war|ranger lose vs them because end dead from exhaustion. So are u going to finally fix this arena how it was?Healing wins really don't look on me like arena battle.

Regarding bugs and what could properly motivate fixing them in a timely manner/be more careful and never let them get to live server to begin with.

I know that my last paragraph is a bit on the pessimistic side, but it is only because I have plenty of experience with how BP and the DSO team operates. I would be thrilled to be proved wrong, but BP and the DSO team would have to presently surprise me for the first time ever. I've had much more experience with the other kind of surprises.

You know... from time to time I start having a glimmer of hope that the devs and all the powers that be have learned a lesson from all the VALID bitching and moaning that we do here in this thread and just about every other feedback thread ever opened, but then there comes something like this poor excuse of a "reworked" moon event and I am reminded that your "professionals" are amateurs at best who ignorantly ignore expert advice from players who put more time into this game in 3-5 days than they put in to "improving" the game a full work week. It is insulting to so regularly get blown off with the answer of "we are looking into it" or "we are considering the feedback closely" when you (more of a collective "you" than an individual "you") very obviously don't. The least you could do is say "We looked at your suggestions and figure that we know better and summarily chose to ignore ALL OF IT!" To quote a movie...

Read through the feedback thread for the new and "improved" full and new moon events. It is a joke! Every bit of feedback we gave in the original feedback thread (which was open for 16 months) has been entirely disregarded in the reworking. The truth is that your development team, your producer team, your management, every last individual with any power to make a change for the better in this game is out of touch with what the players truly want and how the game is played. Almost every decision is made with regard to the bottom line or is something that the community has no desire for or interest in, yet you and the developer team seem to think that it is the best thing since Tetris.

Now, this is the part where you give me one of your trite "Wow, calm down there" or "No need to be hostile" responses, but the truth is that I am calm, just very disappointed and upset with BigPoint's and Drakensang's complete and utter disregard to their player base and nor was this hostile... you should have seen the pre-self-censored version; it was too honest for you to have even finished reading. And, before you casually dismiss my feedback as just another rant, watch the number of "likes" that this post will get because there are plenty of forum goers who are just as fed up with this crap as I am.

    EDIT:
Lets see... 13 Likes and counting. Looks Like I'm not crazy, just one of the more vocal about my displeasure. If you blow this post off with your normal platitudes, then you are actually blowing off a total of 13 other people who are all of the same opinion as me

So true. I get the same feeling all the time. I don't want to scream, I want to be positive, but I cant. I read myself twice or more, and I see it sounds like a hate speech, which is not.

With the events mess I have missed another beautiful thing. 12M of glyphs package. A couple of hundreds of bucks, and you are end game now. Grats.
Fame was diminished. Items now drop like crazy with the fatal mode. Gems are available for purchase for cheap, those packs and those about polished level. Glyphs now available for purchase. I have had roughly 100M glyphs, maybe 110M farmed hard in a couple of years. Guys like Yogo had more. And now they say those years of farm only worth what, 500 euros? What aren't you selling yet guys? Is your monetization lead happy now or he wants more?

Haruki, You skipped my question... Please answer if possible.

Also: Although I know many people may not agree with me, I would prefer your team not start working on the new content atall till end 2016 which might mean a late 2017 release for the new content but doesn't matter. It will give us a good game with very good content to look forward to. What we are heading towards is good content with very poor game mechanics. If your team is satisfied by getting a german award for their last content and think their game is doing fabulous/heading in the right direction then they would only be misguiding themselves. It's time for your team to sit down and have a very clear and frank and honest discussion of "Do we want to expand content upon a game where there are so many unfinished things("New" moon events, No "new" events, PVP, uniques, crafting, legends, basic gameplay, class balance, twinking, etc) or do we want to bring in this exciting content to a game where 90% players are very happy with all the current content and mechanics and would like to go for the next level" Please understand that players also want this game to be the best. That's why they play this game so wholeheartedly. It's not that we are not happy you guys got the award. We are happy but only we and your team knows there are lots of things that need immediate attention until end of issue.

I do not get the way you guys are ushering in so many new things one on top of the other, without any time to resolve any particular thing. On a small team BP has given the responsibility of making DSO popular in Asia where the market is heavily dominated by much better open world games. On the other hand they are hardly getting time to implement ideas they are thinking up or losing priorities. On top of that the top guy comes up with the idea of CV and ofcourse we have to implement that immediately because its the idea of our boss. Isn't it time for the management to open their eyes and the developers to be honest to themselves and put a foot down?
Anyways, please answer my original post.

Like Shila said, why RUSH RUSH RUSH RUSH? First fix the game, the bugs, add the cool features (like crafting 2.0, hud lock etc), make the game much more enjoyable with the fixing and addition of many simple but so useful features. AND ONLY THEN think about moving the game forward through new classes, content expansion etc.
And I 100% agree with the last posts of baragain and sebastian. Don't piss on my back and tell me it's raining :D ... I died XD

Also another guy said: why give us skills if you make mini bosses immune to all the skills ??? + rob us of our concentration (full moon event)
The same could be said about the mini bosses from fatal difficulty in PWs. They can be armor broke for only a very short time because they debuff very quickly so you can't double armour break, it's just not fair, our armor break skills are useless

Hello I would like to ask, when you want to repair dwarfs? It's funny that I can't kill dwarfs who have radiant gems while I have sacred gems. I mean DK vs Dwarf. Dwarfs better at all aspects (heal and run thats all they do) for pve they dont need critical value.. their consumption of essence is ridiculous comparing to other classes.

    It's simple:
they based their objectives only on "how much" ?
The devs must release X versions/hotfixes in Y time. That's all. No mention on how does it works.

We are seeing also the HORRIBLE Full Moon event, that contains at least the same shoddy errors already pinpointed for the New Moon. And you implemented it. In the same way you didn't care about New Moon release, you didn't care about this. And there are even other groos errors, clearly INTENTIONAL.
So please, also Greg that no more put his face in this thread, don't lie in Twitch saying "i can't understand how this could had happen, these items should stack together".

    You are insulting us. Period.

I completely agree with Shiladitya. Creating new maps that most won't run after finishing quests is not needed at this point in time. We already have enough maps that no one wants to run.

DSO keeps asking for ideas and feedback, but quite honestly it is more frustrating to be asked and ignored than it would have been to never have been asked.

If you are going to ignore the player ideas and implement stupid, worthless things like the CV system instead, can someone at least have the common decency to explain why?

It would also be nice to not get the standard answers "we are looking into it" or "we are considering it" as a way to pacify the players. Sooner or later everyone gets sick of hearing that, just be honest.

Why was the CV system implemented over the dozens of good ideas players have begged for?

Why were the moon event maps simply regurgitated over the dozens of good ideas players have begged for?

Why were the pw frags implemented over the dozens of good ideas players have begged for?

I could go on and on but sadly if someone chose to answer I would only get more excuses.

If Quality Production was the over-riding concern, instead of Finance or Marketing, DSO would need to expand, to handle the increased demand.

id agree there simple business technique is to have things other company dont, which dso lacks in every aspect. For example manufacturer companies would look into going "Green" to gain name in the world where people would recognize them for it hence their value and sales would go up because they are known to be a good and trustworthy company. and then we have DSO a game where its all about profit instead they are losing players at a high rate but they dont seem to care or perhaps know what to do about it other then act in a rush to "Gain" them back which they cant maybe they look at the people online daily or monthly or yearly? not sure but if they do they should consider the fact that most players come online to talk to friends rather than actually play and enjoy the game. here we are asking to be heard yet get ignore hence i say why complain? when theres no one to hear us.

Pls remake full moon event!! New Items on hard mode are useless!!! Whats the point in you gain 1% xp back when you cant kill mobs whit that? Set are poor designed it lacks base damage heavily!!!

And for god sake, what the hell why the mini bosses are stronger than the final boss? cant stun, cant break armor ,cant use singurarity, cant use my mana!

Stop making bosses immune to spells, because its making mages useless and ridiculous to play!!!!

Stop ignoring feedback on forums!! lots of ppl are leaving this game!

I would not mind getting the hard full moon shield as a DK or SM, as with a few glyphs it would work better with the warkord set due to the block strength. But the rest of it is trash and thus the entire hard portion of the event is not worth my time.
