Do I swap out or not? :

My own personal feelings are that the legendary belt I have equipped has better enchantments. (but does have 2 less gem slots!)

as I have said before individual enchantments dont count, I could suggest the legend belt when u would have 50 armour in total and i wouldnt know, or I could suggest the unique and u could have 0 crit and I wouldnt know. You gotta include items in your setup which adds value to your stats as a whole and not as an individual component. Having said that I think its possible to get better legend belts(maybe, i am not sure of the status of low level enchantments). the unique isnt too good too.

 

For PVE and leveling you'll get more bang for your buck out of the higher armor on the unique, but Shil hit it on the head; it depends on what you have everywhere else. Don't fret though, neither of them will be of value in about 2 more levels and you'll quickly find something better than either of those.

Shil - I did'nt think the unique is all that "unique" either! hah!!
So, are you saying that I should swap out one thing for another only if it say, adds to an area in which I am less than "up to par"?

I am currently trying to increase Armor, Res, Crits, Dam, Health - in that order.
(am I doing that right?)

 

Yes exactly however try to keep the basic order on things, left side offence, right side defence, u can change the order according to gear u get, but making this order a habit will help u at higher levels.

Also if you find a good item which is very good in stats but wont add value to your current setup, keep it in locker for trying in another setup later.

 

Gear swaps will almost always be a win lose. The question to answer is whether the win outweighs the loss. There are some tools out there that you can plug numbers into like THIS one. But, nothing beats experience, which of course comes with time. You know what they say--wisdom is making good choices based on experience. And experience comes from making bad choices.

 

So, in other words, I gotta die a lot (or do like Forest Gump!) before I stop dyin! heh!

You should probably focus more on damage, as you're a SW. That, HP and armor should be your first concerns. You don't need resistances that much yet (unless you PvP a lot) and critical hit chances have been nerfed so much recently that they aren't the big thing they once were. Now you need a lot of it to keep a 50% chance.

Well, yes, in a way. Just don't purposely make mistakes and expect to gain something in such a way .
