If you are going to run 2h, you need either the Warlord set or the New Moon set. The New Moon set well leave you squishier, but with better all around offense (speed, crit, and damage). The Warlord set will give you better defensive stats and awesome damage, but you'll be slower and less crit than the New Moon set.

Next step would be unlocking those slots. The first two slots will be expensive, but worth it. The third slot you should wait to open until you have 4x+15 damage gems in those slots and 4x6.5% speed gems in your weapon decoration as upgrading those things will give you more bang for your buck.

Finally, you could think about getting the Dragonache set. If you don't have many draken, you'd probably be better off waiting to see Gnob's offerings after LVL 50 comes out. If you don't have the draken for the Dragonache set, then you ought to use one or two Rings of Death to boost your damage even higher. At 2%-3% extra damage and about 40-55 damage ring, you could easily gain 60 damage (low end for one ring) to 180 (two good rings).

I don't get it,why are you putting onyxes in your sword, even when it has such high crit. value.Won't it benefit much to have rubies instead?

yea, this is the way I play since I managed to complete Sargon's set from final Sargon's event. My stat build is focus on HP/HPregen, attack speed, and crit value (3486 crit rate from my current gear lvl).
the reasons is, higher crit rate gives me more solid damage and extra faster healing when Dragonhide+Banner is activated. Moreover, we got 25%+10% crit bonus from Bloodtooth and Keen's might (so imo adding more onyx to my build is not bad idea).
in certain situation like hard event maps, I may replace Tearholder into my full defense leg ring which has 301hp, 280resist, 262 armor for better tanking if needed.
imo this build gives me higher survivability for solo run on any pve maps, even for soloing hard Dragan and fake Gnob last time.

that's my thought.. or maybe.. I'm just simply obsessed with yellow colored damage numbers. :D

well, I haven't tried Dark Warlord set yet as I still need 3 more capes. someday I might change my mind and use different style of build.

Actually, high damage is better for HP regen through MWS, because you can not do less than your min base damage where as crit (even high crit) is still random. Using rubies in the sword would also benefit from the 42.8% increased damage line. Also, the more onyxes you use, the more diminishing returns. Your crit is so high already that removing one of your onyxes would have very little impact to your DPS, but replacing it with a ruby of comparable quality would have a significant impact to your overall DPS. Check out this tool (http://dsopage.bplaced.net/) and try reducing your crit chance % by an amount equal to one of your crit gems, and then increase your damage by 35 or 50 (a rough estimate of your damage increase due to a +15 of a +20 ruby based on 2H talent, weapon % damage, and AK). You will lose maybe 10 DPS for taking off the crit gem, but you would gain over 50-90 DPS from the improved damage.

There is a reason why almost no one uses onyxes in their builds because the speed and damage gems all have a linear effect to DPS where as the onyxes experience those diminishing returns.

The only use I have for onyxes is to put them in my alt weapon (vargulf mace) that i switch to when i try to flagrun in 5v5. Main weapon has 5 rubies, claw has 5 sapphires.

That's really a good point Baragain.. thank you for input. Actually I already knew how's the increased damage works on Rubies. but Idk, everytime I see white damage number when I hit opponents feels like "damn, I missed!!" and seeing yellow number as.. "that's gonna leave a mark". lol :D

now I've got a feeling if I might look a little silly in the eyes of most of you here. :D but for now maybe I better keep it this way, because fat rubies is so expensive, and merging my precious onyxes is such a huge penalty on my build this far.

You can work on slowly replacing the +120s with +15s and over time combine up the onyxes untill you can remove them from your build all together. The best argument I can give is this... The point of a 2H DK is damage. If you are not constantly pushing your DPS higher and higher, then you are missing the point of a 2H DK. If you want pure survivability, that is when HP Regen is most important and you get the most benefit from being a 1H in those cases. I know you said that you don't have the Warlord set yet, but when you you do, I'm sure that will change your tune (and toon:p).

P.S. If you like crit, try the New Moon set... with 33.3% crit and the 35% you get from Keen's/Bloodtooth, you'd have 68.3% crit and then you really wouldn't need to worry about those onyxes. You also mentioned that you like speed, well, enjoy the 11.1% speed. You'll take a big hit to your HP, but your DPS could easily increase by 50% or more.
And the fact that you have 2 weapons like that when I can't even find one is depressing. Here is the best I've gotten recently.
I could use it, but it would cost too much ander to open the slots, and would only be worth 10 DPS once i did due to the crit I'd lose.

I have NM set in my locker, but some of the stats are still far from its max possible value. I've tested them on HoD and I didn't survive on solo run. well it must be from my lack of rubies :p but that's why I stick with Sargon set until now.

Couldn't have said it better myself.:D

Just found this... why couldn't those crit damage lines be weapon damage?:(
    [IMG]

    EDIT:
Here's another one. If I didn't have 100 damage worth of gems that would get no bonus from being in it, this would be a nice sword. Would be a great starter 2H for someone with no really high gems.
P.S. I will melt it to get the glyphs back. It was just for demonstration purposes.

I'm guessing the obvious choice for farming a great 2h weapon is HOD, but are there any other maps that might stand a chance of dropping one? I've been working my butt off to build armor and crit, but finding a decent to good weapon has been difficult to say the least. I know that luck plays a huge part in finding one, but some maps seem to provide better luck than others.
