Weapons of the end of time - quest items drops

9/150 blood iron chips are killing me after almost 3 months of farming. I did 3 rings of death in this time and the blood iron chips drop are insane. Please increase the drop for these items. Thank you!!!!!

 

While the oob quest drops are certainly mind numbing and will make you question why you bother playing the game, when you get to hod and try to finish the quest for your cloak of power, you'll truly wish to go back to the days of those lousy oob quests.

 

Here's the thing... the weapon isn't worth the headache. So, after having completed it once, I'm never wasting the time on that one again. Raise or lower the drop rate, it makes no difference to me unless they make it for a weapon that can actually rival what you could get in the way of legendaries.

 

I agree 100%. I knew I would melt that weapon before I even got it. I only completed the quest because I didn't have the heart to abandon it after all that work (and after storing all those frags for so long).

 

ok, removed the q, I have opened at least 20 short bows, legendaries and did not have the luck to find one better than my current q6 bow...trying more..

 

Same here. I started that quest a looong time ago. And as Multi-serv said, I just didn't have the heart to drop it and all the components to it. All I need is the death rattle now from Mortis.

After I get that I'll just store it in locker. Worked to hard to just melt it. But that's just me

 

I already have a legendary level 43 black steel sword, with 51.4% weapon damage, 17.7% speed, glyphed to level 46 and opened to the 5th slot, that beats this axe, so i stopped chasing the pieces. I probably should cancel the quest and free up the storage space, and i might do that.

For the time sink this quest is, its not worth it.

 

It would be great to have drop rate increased as i am currently trying to get the EoT weapon and I don't want to be spending an eternity doing it since poor progress will deter me from attemptin the quest just as it has deterred my fellow commentors above....

 

That's peculiar,I have done about 5-10 runs for that quest and i already have 16/150 and 100/700, i have done only one run of HoD and didn't got any drops.

 

9/150 is hard for me to believe. I am not saying anyone is lying but if you have that much of bad luck my be we are not killing the mobs. I got the 150 well before I got 350/700 mean souls.

 

Some instances are better than others. They can have a long cycle time too. Are you trying different play times?

 

Well here is my thing. I got 3 rings of death, but never got the fragment of mortis to end this quest. Is this normal ?

 

Seems like really bad luck. I got my rattle for the EOT axe on my 3rd mortis kill.

 

Imagine ... I was doing the quest for Cloak of Power for almost 9 months.
That cloak was introduced somewhere in January 2013 (started it immediately) ... and I have finished it in September 2013

As well stated from the the past 4-5 posts above it takes a little bit to get. I've been trying for close to a year and I just need the rattle. ALSO, I need the right group to even kill Mortis.

 

Took me almost 40 mortis kills to get death rattles for my DK. Not looking forward to doing same for SW and Ranger. Its my opinion that there should be a kill limit on your first weapon quest. I.E You can achieve death rattles either by random drop or by killing mortis 10 times.
some people have had to kill him more than me to get their drops ... to me ... thats just insane.
